What is a century film? Century films are movies that have been in existence for at least 100 years. As we move into the 21st Century, we have a unique opportunity to connect with a past period that no longer lives in human memory. The cinema connects us with the images and the dreamscapes of other eras.
I started the project of watching and reviewing century films in 2012 somewhat half-heartedly, took a year off, then came back with a vengeance in 2014. Due to popular demand (well, a few friends’ demand), I am moving these reviews and other analysis to this WordPress blog. I hope that you will enjoy my journey to the past and encourage you to help me find and understand these movies.
